Sheltered Co-ordinator

**Sheltered Co-Ordinator Immediately Required**

**Duration**: Temporary - End of March

**Location**: Blaby

**Hours**: 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

**Pay Rate**: £12.57 - £14.50 via Umbrella per hour (Negotiable for right experience)

An opening has arisen for a Sheltered Co-ordinator within a large Housing Association in Leicester. This required individual for the vacancy will be responsible for providing an intensive housing management and support service to older vulnerable tenantswith housing related needs.
- Have a clear understanding of Housing legislations in order to support tenants in the service
- Carry out statutory and cyclic H&S checks of the work area and on the operation of equipment, e.g. fire alarm, smoke alarm, emergency lighting, emergency alarms and pull cord systems
- Report any failures immediately ensuring all actions are documented and followed up, to ensure 100 % compliance
- Carry out pre tenancy interviews and accompanied viewings, assessment of housing needs and sign ups to ensure sustainability of tenure for the applicant
- Ensure that the prospective resident(s) understand tenancy issues, rights and responsibilities
- Advise and assist Residents / Tenants / Customers with any tenancy related issues
- Carry out a home visit within two weeks after resident has moved in to ensure they have settled in, confirm contact details and to report any housing management issues
- Promote tenant independence by assisting Residents / Tenants / Customers to organise and run social events for themselves
- Previous experience working in this position / supporting those in a vulnerable settings
- Drive with access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
