We currently have 3 vacant positions for Machine Minders (LMO Operatives) within the Moulding shop.
We require willing and enthusiastic individuals that would like to progress further within the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop robotics skills of the future and potential of a permanent contract once qualified.
- What is a Machine Minder?
In short, a Machine Minder’s job role consists of:

- Running of automation machines
- Production of work in progress parts (Sub-Assembly products)
- Continuous communication between Shift Technician and Shift Co-Ordinator
- Production of labels for products from automated machines (RF Smart)
- Input of information into tablet system (Omnicheck)

What is expected of a Machine Minder:

- Loading work in progress parts into machines
- Removing finished parts from machines
- Producing labels via RF Smart for the putaway of parts
- Be confident in using a radio for communication purposes
- Confident in the use of tablet systems for inputting of data
- Undertake Level 2 Lean Manufacturing course in order to become a Lean Manufacturing Operative (LMO)

Lean Manufacturing Operative Course
- A Lean Manufacturing Operative will be expected to carry out their work safely and meet the standards demanded in a fast paced working environment. The LMO course is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, knowledge and behaviours
- Full-time work-based learners will spend 12 months on-programme working towards the apprenticeship standard
- You will be expected to undertake coursework and improvement activities throughout the duration of the course as part of your off the job training
- You will be allocated mentor within the workplace
- Learners without English & Maths at a level 2 must achieve a level 2 whilst enrolled on the course
