We have an opportunity for you to join our team within the Wastewater Networks Investigation Team as a Sewerage Maintenance Operative.

As a member of our Investigations team your role will focus on Mainline CCTV Rig work, Build Over surveys and Misconnection investigation. This is a field-based role, travelling to sites across the North East to CCTV survey our wastewater network checking for defects, misconnections and whether customer’s building work will affect our sewers. You will play a key role in protecting the environment, the NWL sewer network and our customers while contributing to the reduction of pollution and sewer flooding incidents.

For the roles on offer, you will ensure that your own, your colleagues’ and our customers’ health and safety is not compromised, and you will deliver excellent customer service. The is especially relevant when completing our Misconnection investigations as this role is more about providing advice to our customers face to face, whilst maintaining the integrity of our sewer network.

- Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date._

**About you**

Our Sewerage Maintenance Operatives carry out a crucial role so we’re looking for people who are positive, have a can-do attitude and the ability to deliver great customer service - even when problems may be challenging. We need people who are flexible with their Start/Finish times and who are happy to work additional hours during extreme weather events/periods of high workload.

As our Sewer Maintenance Operatives are field based working as part of a team with mínimal supervision, you will have proven experience of using your initiative with a high level of attention to detail as you will be recording details on forms using electronic devices. The ability to produce detailed CCTV survey reports/plans would be desirable but not essential.

Knowledge and practical experience of the use of sewerage CCTV equipment/investigation with WRC MSCC5, confined space working, and high-pressure jetting equipment would be great, but, if not, we can get you trained.

A full and valid driving licence will be required, it would be desirable to have the following categories C1 and C, but is not essential.
