Bookkeeper

**Bookkeeper (25 hours, Monday - Friday) | Dronfield | £20,000 - £23,000**

**The Opportunity**

Owner-led, professional and growing SME (sub £5m turnover) are looking for an experienced Company Accountant to join their longstanding team in offices based in Dronfield on a part-time basis.

This is a great role for someone who is looking for a flexible opportunity that offers sensible work life balance in a company that has experienced a healthy growth in turnover year on year and can provide long term stability due to their niche productsand growing client base.

You will work autonomously, taking responsibility for keeping the day-to-day bookkeeping and transactional elements of the finance function, along with assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

- Responsibility for maintaining sales, purchase ledger and cashbook
- Preparation of payments for authorization
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Credit Control
- Assisting with year-end statutory reporting
- Bank reconciliation
- Preparing monthly journals
- Handling import/export documentation
- Dealing with customer queries in a timely/ efficient manner
- General administration and ad hoc duties as required

You will have:

- 3 years’ experience in a similar role in an SME environment
- Confidence in liaising and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work autonomously
- A hands-on approach
- A positive, self-motivated approach
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in liaising with various external stakeholders
