Overview:
Mayer Brown is a leading global law firm with offices in 27 key business centres across the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. We have deep experience in high-stakes litigation and complex transactions across industry sectors, including our signature strength, the global financial services industry.

We are a collegial, collaborative and diverse firm where highly motivated individuals with an unwavering commitment to excellence receive the opportunity, support and development they need to grow, thrive and realise their greatest potential. We also encourage all our people to use their skills to support the wider community through our pro bono and community volunteering programmes. Our UK pensions team is 15 strong with 5 partners. We act for pension schemes of all sizes including some of the largest ones. We also act for employers. Our pensions work covers many sectors and types of schemes. Examples of our work includes advising on scheme funding matters, benefits design changes, scheme mergers, corporate activity and transactions. Investment, de-risking, disputes and the whole myriad of pensions issues. Whilst we provide support to our Corporate colleagues on transactions, corporate support is a relatively small part of our practice, comprising about 10% of our work.

Our market leading finance, corporate, insurance, and litigation practices work very closely in providing a joined up and holistic service to our trustee and employer clients.

Many of our clients are household names covering the retail, finance and electricity/energy sectors.

Our pensions partners encourage our team, whatever level, to be involved in business development activities and we ensure our junior lawyers get face to face client interaction so they gain experience as early as possible. We are a collegiate and inclusive team.
