**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one and group mentorship sessions to students, focusing on sports engagement and behavioural development.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of sports-related activities and programs within the school.
- Support students in developing positive behaviour and social skills both inside and outside the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create personalized support plans for students.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Act as a positive role model for students, promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.

**Basic Requirements**:

- Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in a sports-related discipline (e.g., sports coaching, physical education).
- Experience working with children or young people in a coaching, mentoring, or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the needs of students and the school environment.
- Flexibility to work school hours and occasional evenings or weekends for extracurricular activities.

**Desired Qualifications (not essential but beneficial)**:

- Level 3 qualification or higher in a sports-related discipline.
- Experience working with students with behavioural or learning needs.
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of additional sports or physical activities.
