**Job Title**: Intervention Teaching Assistant

**Location**: South Liverpool Primary School

As part of our dedication to ensuring the academic progress and well-being of all students, we are seeking an Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with classroom teachers to identify students in need of intervention support and develop targeted intervention plans.
- Deliver small group or one-to-one intervention sessions to support students' literacy, numeracy, or social-emotional development.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students across different year groups.
- Monitor and assess students' progress during intervention sessions, providing regular feedback to teachers and tracking outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to intervention support.
- Maintain accurate records of intervention sessions and student progress to inform future planning and decision-making.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of primary curriculum standards and strategies for supporting students' academic progress.
- Ability to work effectively with students from different year groups and adapt intervention strategies to meet their specific needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting students' learning and well-being.
- Flexibility to work across different year groups and collaborate with a range of teaching staff.
- Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to undergo a check prior to employment.
