_Job Overview_

The purpose of this role is to ensure all products are packed to quality standards.
- Responsibilities:_
- Perform packing (folding and bagging) operations in accordance with time, quantity, and quality targets
- Carry out final checks and report print defects to the supervisor
- Place the items back into the correct cartons and ensure there are correct numbers of items in the carton
- Attach a swing tag to the garment and/or barcode sticker if requested by the customer
- Operate the folding machine in a timely manner if/when assigned by the supervisor
- Ensure production standards are met for quality and deadlines
- Maintain a high level of awareness and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a clean workstation and production floor
- Work with consistent speed and accuracy
- Work towards improving productivity without compromising quality
- Help and assist with tasks assigned by the supervisor
- Assist and work in other areas within the business as and when required
- Report any issues to the supervisor
- Follow safety procedures and company policies
- Always adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure that Quality standard are achieved and maintained in all areas.
- Fill in all work cards neatly and completely as well as any other required document.
- Maximise efficiencies and performance across all machines and equipment.
- Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained across all areas of the plant.
- Have a proactive approach to Health and Safety and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Ensure that the movement of material is transacted correctly and on time.
- All other reasonable duties, as assigned
- Skills/Qualifications/Training_

A successful general operative demonstrates problem-solving, listening, common sense, and teamworking abilities as well as an ability to successfully operate machinery. Excellent hand-eye coordination and concentration are essential skills. The following are also useful:

- Mechanically minded and process oriented
- Ability to read and write in English
- Physical fitness and lots of energy
- Dependable, with a great can-do attitude and a desire to learn new skills
- Able to follow directions and available to work flexible hours
- To ensure all orders are processed the required standard and on time
- IT skills for data entry and printing
