**The Role**:
We are seeking self-employed, CIS registered, skilled and experienced Painters & Decorators to join our team of contractors.

The majority of our work is within the West Midlands, however, from time-to-time you may be asked to work away in other areas of the UK. When doing so, and if the distance warrants this, we provide hotels, food allowance and fuel costs for travel more than 1 hour (each way) away.

We receive large quantities of painting & decorating work.

**Duties to include: (please note this is not an exhaustive list)**:

- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, and sanding as necessary
- Fill cracks and holes with putty or other appropriate materials
- Wallpapering
- Mix paint colours to achieve desired shades
- Ensure proper coverage and smooth finish
- Clean and maintain painting equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment as required

**Requirements**:

- Own van, must be insured & kept in clean, safe and road worthy condition
- Registered with HMRC as self-employed and for the CIS Scheme. Must have valid UTR number
- Public liability insurance
- Own tools including ladder and hoover
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Must possess a industry recognised painting & decorating qualification (eq. NVQ2)
- Valid CSCS card
- Asbestos training desirable, however we will provide this for you if needed
- Presentable appearance (i.e clean work clothes and safety boots)
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator
- Knowledge of painting & decorating techniques and materials
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
- Excellent colour vision and ability to distinguish between shades
- Strong communication skills
