Planning and Environment Officer

Abacus are currently working a leading organisation within the energy sector to recruit a** Planning and Environment Officer.**
**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**
Day-to-day, here’s what your new role would look like:
Co-ordination, preparation, submission, and advancement of planning compliance requirements.
Managing stakeholder engagement with planning authorities, statutory agencies, and consultants.
Reporting on all planning and environment issues as required.
Efficient and effective resolution of project related queries.
Liaising with relevant planning authorities and partners as required.
Keep the team up to date with key policy trends and project impacts.
Ad hoc project work as it arises.
**Essential criteria**
These are the qualifications, experience, skills, or knowledge you must have:
Proven experience in a planning and / or environment role.
Previous experience of managing relations with stakeholders and third parties.
Experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Full, clean driving licence.
**Desirable criteria**
BSc Hons degree, planning, environmental
Proven experience in the Renewables area.
Knowledge of both ROI and NI planning systems and legislation / policy.
IPI, RTPI, IEMA (or working towards)
