**Location: Thatcham Nr Reading & Newbury.**

Our clientlooking for a Junior Network Engineer join our busy their expanding team.
- Configuration of microwave radio links radios, switches, routers and other related equipment (product training will be provided).
- Assisting field engineers with commissioning of equipment from the NOC
- General administration associated with the NOC (monthly usage reporting, tracking assets etc, OFCOM licensing documentation).
- Progression - opportunity to progress to senior network engineer by working with our technical architect

Skills and experience:

- Knowledge and experience of configuring and troubleshooting basic networks
- Knowledge and experience of building hardware such as PCs
- Knowledge of basic electronics would be an advantage
- Customer service - you must be experienced in interacting with customers, and the challenges in doing so.
- Formal qualification in networking (such as Comptia Network+ or equivalent) would be advantageous
- Knowledge and experience of networks at OSI layer 2 is essential
- Knowledge of basic routing is essential
- Knowledge and experience of more advanced routing would be an advantage

This is a fantastic opportunity to get moving further into the world of Wi fi and Wireless networking engineering.You will need to have a grounding in networking engineering with relevant experience and suitable qualifications.It is not necessary to havequalifications up to CCNA level although that may be helpful.That said Network plus would be a good grounding.Hands on experience is the key with a great enthusiastic openness to learning.It will be essential that technical capability is matched by an abilityto communicate with clients in an effective and empathetic way.

This is not a customer service role but it is important that communications with customers can ensure an understanding of client needs and the companies technical solutions.This role is open to a range of experience and previous roles provided the underlyingbasis of technical networking knowledge is there with a hunger for great ongoing skill acquisition.Technical knowledge and a strong practical capability is the key here.This is an immediate position hiring now.
