Environmental Education

Would you like to make a difference in your community where it really matters? The Town Council is looking to recruit a full time Environmental Education & Enforcement Officer. You will work alongside community groups, residents, visitors, councillors, organisations and businesses to educate on the impact of environmental crime and how it can be enforced.

You’ll need to be passionate about educating people about the impact of their behaviours and inspiring them to change Dog fouling and littering are two of the highest environmental concerns within Newquay Help the Town Council to help tackle at a local level.

You will spread the word about responsible dog ownership and following training and will robustly challenge where necessary with issue Fixed Penalty Notices to offenders. You will also work with Cornwall Council, waste management providers and the Police and other agencies in order to ensure Newquay remains a safe, clean and great place to live, work or visit.

Applicants must be available to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays on a shift pattern.
