**About St James Preparatory School**

St James Prep School is a co-educational IAPS day prep and nursery school for children aged 2-11. An oasis of calm in bustling Kensington, the school is resourced with enviable outside space (including a forest school), a fully-resourced teaching kitchen, science labs and a new ICT Suite.

St James Prep was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in October 2019 and graded ‘excellent’ in all areas.

**Our Nursery**

The nursery, which celebrated its one year anniversary in September 2020, welcomes children the term in which they turn 3. It is a bright open-plan space with access to its own little adventure playground, mud kitchen and sandpit, as well as the little forest in the park.

Thanks to a varied curriculum and specialist teaching in Performing Arts, Music and Language, your child will have the chance to develop their own unique talents in a nurturing and inspiring environment.

**Overview**

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join part of a dynamic team. We are looking for someone with robust knowledge of EYFS, coupled with good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children.

**Hours of Work**
- Normal hours of work will be 7:30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.
- There is no requirement to work during school holidays, except where requested to attend work by the Head of Nursery School.
- There are occasions where you will be required to stay later for example: To attend all staff meetings. Staff meetings take place one evening each week until 5pm, parents’ evenings (as appropriate) and INSET (internal and external as requested).
