Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:

- Know and understand the risks of holding property.
- Understand the role in keeping property safe and statutory compliant within the client's portfolio.
- Property lettings/ lease renewals and rent reviews.
- Management of tenants and customers.
- Be part of the team generating income of circa £20 million per annum.
- Provide support to Corporate Working Groups particularly with regards to property leasing and property lease management, together with instructing and directing technical and other professional colleagues and external contractors in connection with such projects.
- Prepare recommendation reports for business cases and reports to appropriate internal Committees.
- Be responsible for the disposal of surplus property assets and deliver capital receipts.
- Undertake valuation of property assets for pre-disposal, rental, decision making and statutory purposes.
- Assist the Team Leader Estates in providing the annual Property Asset Valuation.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

- Educated to Degree level in a property related discipline.
- A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) (General Practice).
- Be a Registered valuer with the RICS or be capable of becoming a Registered Valuer.
- Current UK Driving Licence
- Experience in the management of Commercial property.
- Experience of managing rent reviews, lease renewals and new lettings.
- Experience in the disposal and acquisition of heritable land and property.
- Strong Communication skills
- Experienced negotiator.
- Understanding of the concept of Best Value.
- Be able to motivate and manage a team of different professional and technical staff.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness
- Understanding of Health and safety Legislation
- Best value within a Public Sector environment
- Knowledge and experience of multi-disciplinary property projects
- Demonstrate a commitment to Continued Professional Development (CPD)
- The ability to travel to locations around the city to meet the requirements of the role
- Problem solving skills.
