Pod Host

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure the Pod is clean and tidy for the arrival of customers.
- Ensure all resources within the Pod are used appropriately, and challenge adults if this is not the case.
- Relate to and communicate effectively with families using the Pod.
- Help promote effective teamwork in conjunction with other staff and volunteers. In particular Health and Well-Being staff on duty.
- Ensuring customers are made aware of future YMCA events.
- Ensure customers are aware of services delivered within the Children and Families department.
- Answer customer queries in relation to booking Pod parties.
- Ensure the notice board is aesthetic and displaying in date documents.
- Set up the party area.
- The duty manager in charge will provide basic party foods such as chips, pizza slices and sausages.
- At the end of each party ensure the Pod is cleaned thoroughly; sweeping, wiping, and mopping is required.

**Health and Safety**
- Be aware of health and safety procedures and the YMCA’s Health and Safety policy.
- Ensure that daily Health and Safety checklists are carried out and any hazards identified are reported to the Children’s Services Coordinator.

**General**
- Attend all relevant training and development programmes.
- Attend all relevant team meetings and 121 meetings.
- Adhere to the Children and Family Work Department’s Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake all duties with regard to the Association’s Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy and other policies and procedures adopted by the Association.
- Respect the Christian ethos of the YMCA SPG and uphold its values.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as requested by your line manager.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
