Burgess Hill area based. Due to rural workplace location it is essential to be a driver and have your own transport. Plenty of free parking on site

We are delighted to be assisting our friendly, reputable and rapidly growing client as they seek to recruit an IT Technician to join their team on a full time permanent basis (office based)

**The role**:
Assist the Head of IT for maintaining the IT infrastructure and providing day to day service to end users through the prioritisation of work. Complete initial triage of the issue and resolve where able, escalating more complex queries within the IT team,3rd parties and to the Head of IT where appropriate. Ensure each business user has the IT equipment to undertake their role effectively processing requests for IT kit set-up in line with business needs. Assisting with producing reports and documentation withinthe IT Department.

**Responsibilities and duties**

Identify and promote opportunities for enhancing the existing IT architecture and infrastructure to optimise the company's operational delivery

Deliver a high level of customer service to internal customers. Work collaboratively with the business to ensure the service delivered is appropriate and to their requirements including but not limited to the support of databases, printers, networks, deskphones, mobiles, desktops, laptops etc

Ensure the companies client devices, network, systems, and data are secure with appropriate defences and processes in place to keep security up to date

Ensure all work is prioritised accordingly updating the user regularly with prompt completion of work

To ensure availability of services, prioritising operational focus and to recommend and manage any change to process to improve and enhance productivity

Helping to maintain the asset management systems for equipment & software

Maintain access rights for day-to-day users and license management

Basic network installation, configuration, and maintenance

Build, setup and deploy equipment & software

Assist in the recovery of equipment & software

Ensure your work is undertaken safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures

Any other tasks that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties

**Knowledge, skills and competencies required**:
Solid technical background with exposure and experience of Microsoft Products, Windows Installation & Setup, general hardware, and troubleshooting

Microsoft 365 administration - including Azure, AzureAD, InTune, Exchange, SharePoint Teams, Tenancy administration

Basic knowledge of network infrastructures, web technologies and security best practices

Able to fix and repair PC hardware

Positive 'can do' attitude.

Ability to excel under pressure and adopt effective problem-solving skills

Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and skills

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical colleagues in a suitable fashion

Solution driven with a focus on providing outstanding customer service

Ability to adhere to IT governance and processes.

Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, both internal and external to the group

Able to work in a fast paced, changing environment where accuracy and attention to detail is essential

Able to manage own workload and deal with conflicting priorities

Good people skills

Able to receive constructive feedback, maintain respect and mutually agree any action required for you to take in response

Self-motivated and able to work autonomously

Proactive approach to resolving problems

**Education and Qualifications**:
Associate degree or advanced apprenticeship in Computer Science or relevant disciplines
