**Responsibilities**:

- Safely guide and operate machinery, including excavators, using standard hand signals or radio communication.
- Participate in both manual and mechanical excavation processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Set up and maintain safety barriers, signage, and other necessary equipment to secure the work area.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of shoring equipment to ensure the structural integrity of excavation sites.
- Conduct routine cemetery maintenance to uphold a respectful and clean environment.
- Collaborate with the grave digging team to prepare sites and maintain the aesthetic standards of the cemetery.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a serious commitment to developing a long-term career.
- Experience in excavator operation highly advantageous; additional training provided for all machinery and shoring operations.
- Physical fitness to perform labour-intensive tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence; category C1+E entitlement beneficial.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
