Bedford, United Kingdom East London NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Bedfordshire and Luton IPS Employment Service is a well established and highly successful IPS service that has recently been awarded Good Fidelity. We are recruiting an IPS Team Lead who will play a pivotal role in managing a high quality service that maintains our fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for service users.

The IPS Team Lead will lead a team of Employment Specialists within Bedfordshire and Luton providing supervision, training, mentoring and role modelling of the IPS approach. You will have significant experience of working with mental health service users and a strong track record as an IPS Employment Specialist. You will have experience of supervising or coaching staff as you will be required to support, monitor and manage the performance of the Employment Specialists, guiding them individually in best practice and aiming to achieve individual and team job outcome targets. You will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and a commitment to ensuring that mental health service users who wish to work have access to high quality employment support.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to the interview stage which will be held on Tuesday 7th March.

The Team Leader will lead a team of up to 6 Employment Specialists providing supervision, training, mentoring, and role modelling of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, as part of the holistic recovery plan for mental health service users. The Team Leader will provide a pivotal role in managing a high-quality service that meets fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for service users.

You will also be required to manage a small caseload of people who have experienced mental health problems and who are unemployed. Working directly with all relevant stakeholders: the service user, CMHT staff, consultant psychiatrists, employers and partner agencies - you will support the service users on your caseload to gain and retain paid employment.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations
