This post is based in our farm practice (Leahurst Campus, Wirral) which serves local clients as well as accepting referral work. The role involves carrying out clinical work and teaching our undergraduate students on clinical rotations. The post can be adapted to suit either an intern or resident depending on the applicant¿s stage of career and circumstances. Should you be appointed as an Intern the vacancy is available on a fixed term basis for 1 year, whereas for a Resident the post is available on a fixed term basis for 3 years. A residency post is an ideal opportunity to further develop your expertise with the benefit of generous study time and support to help you achieve a postgraduate qualification. The Intern post would either suit those thinking of enrolling on a post-graduate diploma in the future or those early in their career who want to develop their skills for use in general practice. Although some post-graduate experience is desirable we will consider new graduates. You will work alongside RCVS recognised specialists, diploma and certificate holders in an enthusiastic and friendly environment with all the benefits of university employment. You should be MRCVS (or eligible for membership).
