**The Role Summary**

Due to expansion and growth, my client is looking for an experienced Electronic Assembly & SMT Process Engineer to implement and maintain process control in all aspects of the electronic PCB assembly process.

**_Duties and Responsibilities:_**
- Define and maintain process standards
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Carry out process audits
- Provide day to day assistance within the assembly areas
- Report writing and proposals
- Involvement in equipment specification

- HNC in Electronics or relevant experience
- Safety conscious with knowledge of health and Safety legislation
- IPC J-STD-001 trained
- Familiar in inspecting PCBs and rework to IPC-7711/21 standards
- Thorough knowledge of electronic assembly processes and the equipment used such as Wave and Selective soldering and SMT
- Experience of Industrial Engineering e.g. Takt Times and maintaining the company data base
- Structuring and producing process documentation e.g. WI's

**Skills & Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an electronic assembly environment
- Logical and systematic approach to problem solving
- Able to liaise technically with external suppliers/internal customers
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Design the process flow considering Health and Safety
- Knowledge of Automation
