**Contract**: Both 0.8 wte (30 hours a week), Fixed-Term for 6 months

**Base**: Great Oaks Mental Health Unit - Scunthorpe

The Assistant Psychologist positions in North Lincolnshire within the CHRT and the Liaison Psychiatry team provide an exciting opportunity to develop core psychological knowledge and skills under the direct supervision of registered psychologists.

The successful applicant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary and integrated Mental Health Team. Interventions are offered in line with a stepped care model with a single point of access for people experiencing crisis and mental health difficulties. You will be involved in providing psychological assessments, formulation, and interventions for people with complex and challenging presentations. You will also contribute to audit, service evaluation, and research projects and help psychologists to shape the continued development of these services.

You will be joining a supportive psychological professionals’ team who meet regularly to collaborate on all aspects of clinical work. There are great opportunities for training, and you will receive robust clinical supervision to develop and support you in your role.

We want to recruit a psychology graduate who is interested and passionate about working with people who experience mental health problems. In the role of an Assistant Psychologist, you will support the psychological care of clients in the delivery of psychological assessment, formulation, and interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist. Successful applicants will be able to engage positively with clients and their families/carers, demonstrating sensitivity, compassion and an awareness of the challenges experienced by people in crisis. The ability to work collaboratively with allied professionals within a multi-disciplinary team is central to the post. Assistant Psychologist’s will also assist in clinical administration, data collection, and contribute to research projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as IT literacy, including data collection and evaluation is essential.
