**About the Company**
Our client is a reputable and successful organisation involved in the research and cultivation of arable crops. They have sites across Scotland, England and Europe. They are growing their team and looking to add a Horticulture Assistant to the small close knit team in the West Linton area. The position is a full time and permanent position.
**Key responsibilities**
Working together with the outdoor and laboratory team, you will be looking after all aspects of;
- Laboratory work, propagating and planting of new and existing vegetable varieties
- Preparation and maintenance of grow beds
- Planting and weeding in their poly tunnels
- Watering and fertilising
- Harvesting of vegetables to delivered to client sites
**What you will bring to the role**
You will be playing an integral part in the research and growth of new vegetable varieties for clients in and around the United Kingdom. You will ideally have a good level of horticultural experience and a passion for the full life cycle of propagation and plant management. In addition you will be an individual with strong initiative and a high level of duty and care. You will also be someone who has the ability to learn quickly, with good attention to detail and to be able to work in a team to record information accurately.
You will be joining a great wee team, who is well managed and offers good flexibility. You can take advantage of their opportunities to learn and grow within if you are passionate and show a willingness to learn.
