**Job description**:
Key reponsibilities:

- Liaise between Engineering, Project Management and the Supply Chain
- Obtain timely quotations from the supply chain
- Purchasing and expediting materials of the correct quality, at the agreed price and to the agreed delivery schedule
- Work to the MRP requirements and request quotations for items required to be purchased
- Place purchase orders at agreed price with approved suppliers selected from approved supplier listing in the ERP system
- Input and process purchase orders on the ERP system
- Obtain all necessary documentation and information to meet purchasing requirements
- Re-schedule purchase orders as per MRP suggestions
- Liaise with the Quality Dept. on supplier returns and new suppliers
- Resolve supplier invoice queries
- Liaise with project Engineers and Project Managers to establish Engineering / development requirements
- Identify, on-board and develop new suppliers
- Develop supplier relationship management tools with key suppliers
- Monitor and improve supplier performance using KPIs, supplier reviews etc.
- Create and monitor supplier T&Cs, supplier framework agreements and project work packages
- Support Group Procurement
- Support the development requirements as defined by the various programmes
- Adhere to security protocol when liaising with the supply chain
- Carry out any other related tasks as specified by the Head of Supply Chain

Knowledge/Skills
- Experienced buyer (3+ years)
- Experience in purchasing metalwork and/or cable & Harness assemblies preferred
- Negotiation and setting up agreements
- Worked in a NPI environment, preferably low volume but high complexity but not essential
- Computer literate, proficient in MS Office
- Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work under own initiative is required
- Good verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to gain SC clearance
