Housekeeping Assistant

We are looking for self-motivated, hard working, reliable staff to join our busy, friendly Housekeeping team.

**Duties**

*Perform a variety of cleaning tasks in guest rooms, common areas, and other designated areas of the hotel
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces - Vacuum and mop floors
- Change bed linens and make beds - Replenish supplies such as towels, toiletries, and amenities
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management - Follow all health and safety guidelines.

**Experience**:
Previous experience in custodial or industrial cleaning is preferred for this position. Knowledge of housekeeping practices is a plus. You should have the ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining a high level of cleanliness. Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills are also important.

**Salary**

5/6 days per week, including weekends/Bank Holidays/Christmas & New Year

Day shifts only - Start time 8am

28 paid holidays per year

Regular division of staff gratuities

**Accommodation**

Live-in accommodation is free of charge.

Accommodation is newly refurbished single accommodation, bathrooms/shower rooms are shared.

Meals every day both on and off duty are provided free of charge and there are no energy cost bills or bills of any type.

Free wifi

Laundry facilities are available (small charge)

The Keswick Country House Hotel is a beautiful 74 bedroomed hotel situated in the market town of Keswick. Open all year, we are a busy hotel with many of our guests returning time and time again due to the excellent service we deliver.

Keswick is the perfect base for those who love the outdoors, set in a valley we are surrounded by magnificent fells and lakes. The busy town of Keswick has a fabulous mixture of shops, cafe bars, restaurants and pubs both traditional and modern.

We are family owned, with an additional four hotels in our portfolio and are committed to looking after not only our guests but also our employees.

An immediate start is available

**Salary**: Up to £10.42 per hour
