Mercy in Action have opened a brand-new boutique charity shop in the busy town of Wallingford. Located in an old bank in the market square, this shop is set to become a flagship store for Mercy in Action, offering high-end preloved goods in a premium retail space.

**The Role**:
We are looking to recruit a Stock Coordinator to manage our donations and warehouse located at the rear of the store. Oversee volunteers and ensure deliveries are correctly distributed to local stores.

**You**:
Will have experience of working within a warehouse environment and be able to drive as occasional deliveries to local stores may be involved.

You will be responsible for taking in donations from customers at the rear of the shop and will be required to sort, steam and hang the donations paying attention to the quality of the donations and ragging any unsaleable goods.

You will work in collaboration with the Store manager to ensure the store is merchandised correctly.

Mercy in Action is a UK registered charity (1096068) working with children, their families and communities in the UK and the Philippines.

In the UK, our Petra Project provides nurturing homes for young mums and their babies and young people, who would otherwise be facing homelessness. In the Philippines, our work centres around helping children to regain lost years by providing residential care, a schooling program and a drop-in centre for street children. Our professional staff work tirelessly to reunite families and enable them to have a future together.

Our newest Bath-based projects, the Clothesline and Action Pantry, provide food and clothing to local families.

Our growing network of Mercy in Action Charity shops raises essential funds for maintaining and expanding these projects, enabling us to support those most in need.

**Key Responsibilities**:
STOCK MANAGEMENT
- Manage inbound donations at customer drop off point
- Maximise gift aid donations, label stock with gift aid ID and maintain customers’ personal information correctly
- Oversee and manage stock sorting, prioritising best quality donations for sales team
- Quality control all inbound donations and oversee rag processing
- Support local sister stores with distribution, delivering and collecting stock with company van as required
- Assist store manager with stock rotation requirements.
- Prepare new donations and warehouse delivery stock, ready to replenish shop floor e.g. hanging, steaming and tagging where applicable.

OPERATIONS
- Read and comply with contents of Retail Handbook and all updates
- Ensure donation drop off point and stock sorting areas are organised and maintained
