**Permanent Part-Time - 14 hours per week**

At Beatson Cancer Charity we support and enhance the treatment, care and wellbeing of current, former and future cancer patients and their families. We work in partnership with the NHS, The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and all related facilities. We also offer the wider community a unique opportunity to contribute to the fight against cancer in the broadest possible sense.

We are currently seeking an experienced Café Supervisor to support our Lead Café Supervisor in the smooth and effective running of the Beatson Cancer Charity Café. We are seeking an individual who is flexible with their hours/days of work to fit in with business requirements.

**Reporting to: Lead Café Supervisor**

**Salary: £18,018 per annum, pro rata**

**Hours: 14 hours per week, with additional cover on occasion**

**Our ideal is Monday and Tuesday between 7am-5.30pm**

**However, we are open to alternative working hours between Monday to Friday 7am-5.30pm**

**Holidays: 40 days per annum (inclusive of Public Holidays) pro-rata**

**Pension: 7% employer, 3% employee, pro rata**

**Contract: Permanent**

As Café Supervisor you will provide a warm and friendly welcome to all patients, families, carers and visitors to ensure they have the best catering experience possible.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Comply with and monitor all Café operating procedures, including start and end of day checklists.
- Adhere to and monitor compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) legislation within the Café.
- Ensure the Café is fully compliant with our Healthy Living Plus Award.
- To act promptly in accordance with standard operating procedures if any patient/visitor is unwell.
- Daily management of Café volunteers.
- Provide an excellent customer service experience.
- Preparing food and beverages in line with hygiene standards and in accordance with Natasha’s Law.
- Manage all areas of stock control and replenishment.
- Daily management of credit card and cash handling.
- Provide relevant information relating to Beatson Cancer Charity and its services, when requested.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the wider NHS team.
- Previous experience of managing a diverse team of people in a similar fast paced, quick service café or restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- Fantastic organisation skills.
- Have a warm, friendly personality.
- Committed to the vision, mission and core values of the charity.
- REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or similar qualification
