**HGV Class 1**

24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Trunk Drivers on behalf of our client to join our well-known client's distribution site based in Severn Beach, Bristol (BS35 4DF).

This HGV Driver position involves solely trunk/trunking work, live unloads/swapping trailers of car parts or household goods to either 1 or 2 locations per shift. At each location the requirement will either be to swap a trailer or to wait until a live load/unload has taken place before returning.

**Shifts Patterns Available**:

- Monday to Friday
- Sunday to Thursday
- Shift Start Times will be between: 15:00-22:00 - let us know your preference
- Flexible weekly working days and rotas are available.

**HGV Class 1 role**:

- The delivery/swapping of trailers around the UK.
- Complete shifts that vary in length between: 8 - 12 hours per day
- Have a good understanding and Comply with all Transport legislation i.e. working time directive, Driving hours/breaks and tachograph laws.
- Ensuring the correct trailers are collected and returned safely.
- Provide a high level of customer service that is always maintained.
- Follow all company procedures and ensuring the accurate completion of all paperwork with each shift.
- Abide by Health & Safety at all times to ensure you work in a manner that keeps you and your colleagues safe.

**Required Skills**:

- Hold a valid a C+E License
- Hold a valid Tacho and CPC card
- No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, TT's or IN's)
- Have a minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience

**PAYE rates**:

- Days (up until 18:00) - £17 per hour
- Nights (From 18:00) - £18 per hour
- OT after 48 hours - £21.25-£22.50
- Saturday - £20
- Sunday - £22

**This position is commutable from**:Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Bath, Gloucester, Newport, Cardiff, Chepstow
