We are recruiting for aDietetic Assistantwho shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietetic Assistant to join our Dietetic Department.
This post is ideal for somebody with experience of working in a health or social care setting, to support our Acute Dietitians to deliver a high quality service.
To work with and assist the Dietitians, to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care.
To be involved in the practical aspects of implementing and monitoring the nutritional recommendations made by the Dietitians.
To support ward staff to operate optimal ward nutrition practices to support holistic patient care
To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate MFT values.

Working in a large team of therapists and specifically in a supportive Dietetics team, you will assist in the provision of a patient-focused dietetic service across all inpatient wards at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. We look to our Dietetic Assistants to build rapport with our patients and within the MDT, and contribute to our collaborative and fun culture. You will also work closely with our community partners to ensure consistency of care. Previous experience working in a dietetic department is desirable.
You must be organised, confident in communicating, open minded for innovation, and above all enjoy working as a team. Medway NHS Foundation Trust and the Dietetic department support personal and professional development and a range of courses are available to access to support your development.
