Job Introduction

We are looking for a Coordinator to join our busy Credit Control Team in Finance, who will provide important support to the Credit Controllers, Credit Manager, and wider business functions. This is a busy role, based in our Cheltenham Head Office and will suit someone with high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.

Main Responsibilities
- Take ownership for all customer account management, including set up, amendment and maintenance, considering associated credit limits, trade and payment discounts, payment terms, securities, credit, sanctions and insurance checks.
- Manage the “Onboard” inbox, responding to requests for new suppliers, and actioning the appropriate financial and sanctions checks, knowing when to make the appropriate referrals
- Support the daily upload of data required to comply with the ABL Agreement (Asset Based Lending) inc. currency splits of inbound wholesale revenue and exclusions, and raising payment transfers into the Trust Accounts
- Perform all housekeeping activities relating to the Wholesale debit note process, including matching these against the associated sales order
- Populate the cash register by currency, update and share the daily cash register/ monitor tracker
- Produce and/or populate a number of reports and liaise with the Credit Controllers in areas such as unallocated / unknown cash, credit limit review, Top 10 debtors, Insurance company maximum extension period (MEP) review and support with any month end reporting as required
- Create manual invoices and credit notes on behalf of various business areas such as Property, Business Transformation, Retail Operations, Store Development and for specific Wholesale customers who fall outside of the invoice automation process
- Produce inter-company statements and manage associated transactional posting to clear balances down
- Own the refund and bank transfer process, managing the trail of requests, approvals, and postings
- Attend EU franchise opening calls to ensure the set-up process in Credit Control has been set up in readiness for the store opening date(s)
- Be proactively engaged with system and process re-engineering initiatives as required, ensuring that these are fit for purpose across the team
- Take responsibility for your own workload and tasks, showing a proactive approach to work, taking the initiative, and making suggestions for improvement
- Support with other activities as determined by the Credit Control Manager and Credit Control Team Seniors
- React to requests for information and data requests from internal and external auditors
- Highly organised, and have a multi-task aptitude due to the breadth of responsibility
- Able to interpret and explain reporting data
- Someone with a keen eye for detail and able to spot errors in information
- Confident in working with and challenging other team members to reach reporting and activity deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft reporting tools to include excel
- Able to articulate well, and build credible internal and external relationships
- Flexible in your approach to work, and able to adapt to internal and external circumstances
