Background

An integral part of the Intelligence & Digital Leadership Team, this role is responsible for the creation and orchestration of the FCA’s intelligence & data engagement activities, positioning the FCA’s journey to becoming an intelligence led regulator:
- Engagement with Industry, Media, events, and the Trade press, to leverage existing and new initiatives, creating an engaging narrative externally. This includes our engagement with other international and domestic regulators.- Internal FCA orchestration of the various activities to build an overarching engagement strategy with the supporting key messages, all of which align and take advantage of our internal set pieces, such as FCA Data Week

What does the role involve? What are the key responsibilities?- Responsible for the design and delivery of the I&D external communications strategy- This means facilitating workshop style sessions with the I&D SLT and other key stakeholders and garnering support for the intended approach-
- Measuring the effectiveness of communication and engagement channels to ensure effective communication with key audiences and managing continuous improvement initiatives-
- Supporting the creation of timely, targeted, creative and effective communications aligned to the broader I&D division objectives- Collating and writing content via external channels including industry and trade press, ensuring alignment to the FCA Brand and Tone of Voice- Working collaboratively with both central communications and the Technology and DTI Comms and Engagement Leads to ensure strategic alignment-
- Contributing to reporting on communication performance at senior leadership level, highlighting effectiveness of the communications strategy- Support creation of the approach and content that is published to internal customers within the FCA including delivery of set annual events e.g. “Digital & Data Week Live”- Developing, proposing and launching new or upgraded communication channels to ensure the channels in use are innovative and deliver maximum impact for our communications- Drive engagement activities with other international & domestic regulators on data and intelligence led activities

Which minimum, essential & desirable skills are required?

Minimum- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders- Experience in developing a communication strategy and managing senior level stakeholders to a consensus- Experience providing an external communications service to a complex organisation including advising on communications channels, tone of voice, brand and best practice methodology

Essential- Experience using Content Management Systems and video editing software to upload content to the intranet.- Event management experience, including objective setting, post event evaluation, analysis and managing multiple events.- Experience effectively engaging external media and wider industry

Desirable- A background in a data and/or digital organisation would be advantageous

Useful Information

We are looking for a Data Engagement Associate, graded Senior Associate within our Corporate Career Family.

London salary range is approximately £43,000 to £64,000 plus a competitive

benefits package

and non-contributory pension.

National salary range (including Edinburgh and Leeds) is approximately £40,000 to £60,000 plus a competitive

benefits package

and non-contributory pension
