**Introduction to the role of the team**

We are a friendly, collaborative, and ambitious team, with a mission to protect, promote and enhance the green spaces of Leeds. You would be working as part of our education team, helping visitors engage with the species, habitats and conservation issues showcased in our animal collection at Lotherton Hall, Wildlife World, with potential to also work across our other sites including Tropical World and Temple Newsam’s Home Farm.

**Your role**
- To assist the Education Officer, Countryside Rangers and Estate teams in the provision of events and educational activities, such as family activities, holiday club/school visits and guided tours.
- To assist staff with practical activities.
- To assist visitors with enquiries and provide information regarding the parks, animal collections and estates as required.
- To work with managers and other staff in achieving a co-ordinated customer service.
- To participate in briefing sessions and training to develop skills and knowledge pertinent to the post.
- To present a positive image of the service at all times and to assist in the promotion of the service through learning, promotional activities and events.

**What you will bring to the role**

A friendly personality, providing excellent standards of customer service to inspire those around you. Enterprising, resourceful, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, able to work on your own and as part of a team.

You will be supportive and ambitious with organisational skills and a can-do approach, the ability to communicate with a wide range of people especially our younger visitors and their families.

An understanding of good practice in visitor services with knowledge of local history, heritage and/or an interest in wildlife and conservation, and willingness to learn about our collections so you can help our visitors get the most out of their visits.

The ability to carry out family activities, led visits for holiday clubs and school groups, and guided tours.
