Volunteer Host

_Nightstop is a dedicated charity committed to supporting young people in need - we are seeking compassionate individuals to join our Nightstop Host Team. As a Nightstop Host, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary night-by-night accommodation for young individuals aged 16-25 who are unable to return home. _

**Responsibilities**:
1. Providing Shelter: Open your home and offer a spare room to a young person in need. Create a safe and welcoming environment to ensure they have a secure place to stay for the night.

2. Supportive Environment: Offer a listening ear and a supportive presence to help young individuals feel valued and understood during their stay.

3. Flexibility: Our volunteers play a crucial role in offering a secure and welcoming overnight space for young people, however, the young person will not be in your home during the day.

This position offers a high degree of flexibility, allowing you to tailor your involvement based on your preferences. We will reach out to you weekly to discuss your availability, ensuring that your commitment aligns with your schedule.
- **You will be **_**reimbursed**_ **£15 per night for hosting on a weekday and £20 per night for hosting on weekends. **_

**Qualities we look for in a host**:

- Compassion: Show empathy and understanding towards the challenges faced by young people experiencing homelessness.
- Safe Environment: Ensure a safe and secure living space for the guests.
- Communication Skills: Foster open communication and create a welcoming atmosphere for the guests.

**Full training will be provided and DBS checks will be paid for by Nightstop.**
