Silverwood Recruitment is partnered with a fantastic organisation in Cookstown in the recruitment of a Credit Controller to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis

Playing an integral role within the accounts team, the successful Credit Controller will collect and reconcile credit notes and invoices and assist in the overarching function of the Finance Department to secure future stability, growth, and profitability of the organisation.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Taking a proactive approach in managing and collecting debts of company debtors.
- Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers' credit rankings.
- Ensuring timely payment of debts
- Following up payments as needed
- Responding to relevant client enquires
- Processing and reconciliation of invoices
- Reconciliation of deposit accounts
- Checking and posting of receipts to accounting system from the bank statement
- Prepare Client monthly statements.
- Processing refunds when required.
- Working across the department to assist with processing of all sales invoices and general finance duties as and when required.
- Adhering to corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls.

**Requirements**:

- Must have 2+ years of experience of Credit Control
- Demonstrable track record in achieving credit control targets
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable interfacing with people at all levels
- Resilience to perform under pressure or to deadlines
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to recognise risks and manage escalations
- Knowledge of Credit law
- Demonstrable experience of managing high volumes of information while maintaining accuracy and accountability
- Possess strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
