Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a **Vice Principal - Apprenticeships **at our **Chichester campus**. You will join us on a** full time, permanent basis and** in return, we will offer a competitive salary of** £72,406 - £79,128 per annum.**

**The Chichester College Group**is the largest provider of further education in Sussex and is comprised of 5 Colleges based at Chichester, Crawley, Worthing, Haywards Heath, and Brinsbury near Pulborough which is land-based. Through our colleges,we educate and train around 25,000 full and part-time students every year and provide teaching excellence to meet the future needs of the region's employers.

**The Vice Principal - Apprenticeships role**:
As our **Vice Principal - Apprenticeships,** you will be responsible to the Principal for ensuring the continuing development of the Group’s strategy relating to the apprenticeship provision (focusing on the quality of apprentice experience,teaching, learning and assessment) across the Group.

**Key Responsibilities of our Vice Principal - Apprenticeships**:

- Ensuring effective curriculum development across all apprenticeship programmes encouraging innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment in line with national developments, employer needs and needs of our students
- Being an ambassador for the Group, when required, in a variety of locations and settings
- Sustaining and creating a culture of excellence in teaching, learning and assessment where the quality of apprenticeship experience and outcomes are central to the provision
- Line managing, coaching and developing elected staff within the Group structure whilst promoting and modelling high levels of professionalism
- Being committed to and responsible for personal professional development to ensure personal effectiveness in the role
- Ensuring that appropriate quality standards for apprenticeship provision are set, reviewed and monitored and that appropriate actions are taken to ensure engagement with them in partnership and collaboration with the Quality team.
- Ensuring that all staff involved in the assessment and guidance of apprentices and their employers, and the delivery of teaching and learning, are responsive to individual apprentice needs; ensuring reasonable adjustments are in place to access learningand opportunities to thrive, reflecting the Group’s commitment to inclusivity and universal design for learning.
- Guaranteeing the provision of effective information, advice and guidance systems to assist apprentices and employers to gain maximum benefit from each individual college’s curriculum offer, support and other opportunities
- Ensuring the development of the apprenticeship offer and implementation of new approaches to teaching, learning and assessment in partnership and collaboration with each individual college’sleadership and curriculum teams, where appropriate
- Making sure that all staff involved in the teaching and learning process for apprenticeships focus upon the need for continuous improvement in standards in teaching and learning and the levels of retention and achievement and to focus on a culture of continuousimprovement for outstanding success

**Our ideal Vice Principal - Apprenticeships should have the below skills and experience**:

- High level degree or vocational professional qualification at Level 4 or above
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE/Cert Ed)
- Significant and successful experience in leading and managing diverse teams and responsibilities successfully within education or training environments
- Record of outstanding leadership in a senior management role or leadership in a complex organisation
- Experience in managing finances within budget and delivery of cost-effective remodels for apprenticeship provision
- Strategic understanding of the FE sector and the place of apprenticeship provision within this, and its challenges including funding, compliance and policy changes
- The ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals at all levels across the College and the College Group
- A strong belief in inclusivity and commitment to education and training
