Curtain Walling Designer

_An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Façade Designer to join this well-established specialist _curtain walling, doors, windows and screen supplier._

- You will be responsible for producing elevations, sections and details from preliminary design sketches to _construction issue drawings._
- Main Activities/Responsibilities: _
- Producing high quality general arrangement drawings in AutoCAD, using the most cost efficient way for _approval and construction._
- Preparing fabrication drawings for bracketry, pressed metal or brought in items, in conjunction with the _location drawings._
- Overseeing and checking sub contracted out drawing production._
- Producing and issuing to production, CNC machining operations using eluCad software._
- Knowledge of steel and glass systems required with proven experience._
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. With the ability to communicate professionally (written and _verbal)_
- Producing glass and fixing material schedules._
- Liaising with architects and main contractors._
- Working to the estimate and project specification._
- Attending co-ordination meetings (internally and externally)._
- Working to an agreed project programme._
- Ensuring that work is detailed in accordance with agreed specification & programme._
- Producing details with commercial consideration given to products used._
- Other Responsibilities: _
- Identifying variations to contract during the design process, and referring back to estimation for _quotation revisions._
- Issuing requests for information as and when required._
- Maintaining a register of drawings issued, including date issued and current revision._

- Ensuring compliance with the CDM regulations._
- Seeking and developing ongoing continuous improvement._
- Assisting with the preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals._
- Complying with all Company policies including Wrightstyle Systems Health/Safety and Environmental _Sustainability Policies._
- Acting as an ambassador/exemplar of Wrightstyle Systems and embracing/supporting/promoting the _Company culture and values._
- Complying with any objectives and targets given._
- Complying with all Design Department procedures. _Training & Development: _
- Attending any other internal/external training courses relevant to the position. _Knowledge/Experience/Attributes: _
- Relevant NVQ/HND qualifications._
- AutoCAD/eluCad experience._
- Experience within the curtain wall and façade industry is a position requirement._
- Problem solving skills._
- Ability to research and develop products._
- Ability to work alone and within a team._
- Time management skills._

**Salary**: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
