Subsea7 is seeking a **Group Environmental Package Lead **to develop the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS) to be structured in line with our overall Business Management System (BMS).

This position will allow Subsea7 to cascade and grow its environmental offering in all spheres of client expectation, industry, the business and evolving environmental legal requirements, in line with its Environmental strategy.

This will be an initial 12-month contract or secondment position, with developmental opportunity that would be appropriate for somebody who is either already in the HSEQ sphere who is looking to specialise in this area, or the opportunity to be part of the evolving environmental journey together with professional training and development offered, where applicable.

**DESCRIPTION OF ROLE**

The Group Environmental Package Lead is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of the Company's overall environmental strategies.

This person will be responsible for developing the Company wide Environmental Management System (EMS), and updating the Environmental Management Procedure in line with the business.

They will contribute to developing a robust and mature Environmental Compliance plan in line with global and local legislative requirements.

They are to create a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

They will act in line with the company values, ensuring that they are familiar with and adhere to our Code of Conduct.

**SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES**

**General Responsibilities**
- Lead a positive HSE culture and behaviour across Subsea7 particularly within their sphere of influence
- Champion the Subsea7 Critical Safety Behaviours Programme, setting the tone and leading by example
- Ensure compliance with all HSE policies, process and procedures
- Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost effective management and delivery of the function’s activities within the designated area of responsibility

**Specific Responsibilities**

**Priority Role**
- Review and develop the existing Environmental Management System
- Update Environmental Management Procedure & documentation
- Promote collaboration across regions for EMS roll out

**Secondary Role**
- Improve Environmental data reporting robustness and compliance across the company
- Prepare for future Environmental legislative requirements
- Provide Environmental data compliance support and guidance to group and global teams
- Review of the Environmental Impact Assessments and assist in developing mandatory minimum global standards
- Liaise across regions to better understand their environmental initiatives, and share best practises
- Assist Environmental leadership with identifying Environmental resourcing requirements
- Assist in Sustainability Report improvements
- Assist as required in response to environmental incidents and risks
- Assist Group Environmental team with carbon management system development
- Other duties as may be required by the line manager

**ORGANISATION STRUCTURE**

The Group Environmental Lead reports to the Group Environmental Director who reports to the HSEQ Vice President.

- Degree/ Academic qualification in HSEQ, Marine, Business/commercial or Engineering
- Proven experience in industry

- Willingness to travel occasionally, when required for the job

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Majority of the work is carried out from the office, with some home working as per company policy
