Slick is revenue generating, growing 100% year-on-year, and close to profitability.

We are looking for an outstanding designer who is excited to take our product to the next level and assist our marketing team with content to supercharge sales, helping us achieve our mission of becoming the UK market leader.

**Job Description**:
**What you can expect in your role as Design Lead**:

- You will own the design process end-to-end from research (assisted by our extensive library of customer feedback) to UX wireframing, prototyping, testing & iterating based on internal and external feedback, all the way to communication with developers on final designs to ensure your creation is built pixel perfect
- You will work closely with our CEO and Junior Product Manager who have extensive knowledge and understanding of our customers’ needs and a passion for UX
- While Slick has a mature product that is addressable to 90% of our customer base, we have a pipeline of exciting new features for you to put your stamp on There is also the opportunity to streamline the design and improve usability across our existing platform to drive user engagement and satisfaction
- In the next 6-9 months, we will also be launching our first native app - a lite but beautiful version of our web app. This will be your creation, your baby and the chance to showcase your skillset to the world
- Another key focus will be a Product Led Growth strategy to upsell our users from our base price plan to the higher tiers, as well as driving feature discoverability and usage.
- Outside of the product, there is the opportunity to engage with our commercial team and boost their armoury with powerful marketing assets for new feature launches and experimental marketing campaigns

**Qualifications**:

- Has 5+ years of product design experience, with excellent UI skills
- Is genuinely passionate about solving our customers’ problems and has sincere empathy for their needs, with a willingness to prioritise usability for a non-tech savvy audience over rigid design principles
- Is open to collaborating with PMs on UX and enjoys rapid iteration based on feedback. Enjoys prototyping with tools such as Marvel/Invision
- Is excited to get out into salons to showcase designs and get first-hand customer feedback
- Has meticulous attention to detail and ability to thoroughly spec designs for handover to developers with clear communication and commentary around different states and scenarios
- Can be flexible and willing to adapt to the company’s needs, with the ability to work fast on smaller tasks if required
- Is a team player who wants to work together to help create something BIG
- Is available to join us as soon as possible

**You’ll have an unfair advantage with**:

- Experience with B2B products, particularly for SME customers
- Experience designing products for a non tech-savvy audience. Think of your 55 year old Uncle. This is not a millennial, digitally native audience
