Supporting senior staff in the complex case management team to develop and implement multi -professional and agency management plans for offenders with complex needs who exhibit challenging behaviour
- To assist and support, senior and qualified staff in the delivery of high quality activities and interventions to offenders
- To provide support, advice and training to discipline staff as necessary
- To work unsupervised for significant periods.
- To undertake an extended role of a range of offender focused well
- being, support and health promotion activities and programmes.
- To work as part of the wider mental health team, providing a range of quality services and interventions as directed.
- Work independently and autonomously supported by the clinical team to provide a range of interventions that support the management of offenders with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
- Work independently and autonomously supported by the clinical team to provide a range of well-being educational and practical interventions, promote social inclusion and recovery agenda.
- Be part of the team and focus on the direct needs of offenders as identified to assist their recovery and to support them to engage with management plans agreed through case reviews and the Care Programme Approach by working across boundaries of care, prison departments, organisations and roles.
- Provide a planned range of activities to individual offenders and participate in 1:1 and group work alongside other healthcare staff and prison agencies.
- Work closely with relevant prison departments to promote joint working
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary care planning and evaluation from other professional’s perspective gained through spending time with offenders.
- Work in partnership with others to promote health and well-being, social inclusion and recovery.

1. To work closely with all members of the wider multi-disciplinary team.

2. Support the development and implementation of care plans.

4. Ensure positive working relationships with offenders, colleagues and other agencies.

5. To engage in supervision, reflecting on and modifying practice where indicated.

6. To provide time to allocated offenders to assist with all aspects of recovery.

7. To provide practical support to offenders users to lead positive lives whilst in custody and when preparing for release
