Macildowie are pleased to be working with a multi-site and continuously-growing organisation based in Coventry, who are recruiting for a full-time Purchase Ledger Assistant on a permanent basis to join their welcoming and supportive team. You will have yourown ledger, working on end-to-end responsibilities within Accounts Payable - including some basic accruals and prepayments too.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work within the Purchase Ledger function ensuring accurate and complete posting of all purchase ledger transactions within their region
- Run Aged Creditors weekly and make sure all invoices have been posted within their Region
- Ensures strong internal controls in respect of matching PO's and supplier invoices.
- Matching, batching and coding of invoices
- Ensures a structured approach to supplier reconciliations
- Works closely with the Senior Finance Officer to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the nominal ledger
- Liaising with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders - must be confident in communications

**Requirements**:

- **At least 2 years' experience undertaking Purchase Ledger responsibilities**:

- Willingness to be proactive, to learn and eagerness to better yourself
- Good organisation
- Attention to detail
- Copes well under pressure
- Able to work as part of a team & excited about a career in accounts
- Shows initiative and willingness to learn
- Great IT skills, particularly Excel
- Possess excellent communication skills & be confident liaising with other areas of business
- Have had exposure to month end process such as accruals/prepayments
