**Term of Employment**: Permanent - Full Time

**Salary**: Starting at £13.05 per hour & Rising to £14.29 upon successful completion of 6 month probationary period.

**Reporting to**: Depot Manager and Assistant Depot Manager

**Hours of Work**: 7 am - 4pm, Monday - Friday + overtime

**Job Role**

We require a well organised and motivated individual to work as a full time Class 2 driver supporting Pub and Industrial deliveries, joining our Scottish Industrial Gases Team, based in Bargeddie.

The role includes manual handling of cylinders/stock, yard work, deliveries and dealing with members of the public.

**Core responsibilities**
**Delivery of cylinders and other goods to customer premises**
Connection, if required, of gas cylinders at customer premises
**Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork**
Recording and carrying out vehicle checks/tachometer usage

Yard work including:
**Loading and unloading company and customer vehicles**
Yard cleaning and maintaining high levels of safe working practices
**Cleaning and maintenance of company vehicles**
Reporting to and assisting the Depot Manager and Assistant Depot Manager with reasonable requests
**Implementing the company's Health and Safety policy**
Basic Vehicle Maintenance

**Essential requirements**

Certificates in the following:
**Class 2/HGV minimum licence**

ADR Preferred but not essential

**Skills and Experience**
**Ideally 2 years heavy goods delivery experience**
Some knowledge of Health and Safety procedures - training will be provided
**Manual Handling experience**
Customer service experience
**Confident oral and written communication skills**
Discussing and resolving problems/mistakes
**Enthusiastic, pro-active and flexible. Willing to contribute and support others as part of a team effort**
Able to work to deadlines and prioritise own workload effectively
**Able to progress tasks using own initiative, seeking guidance and input from others where appropriate**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.05-£14.29 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
