Assistant Buyer

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Senior Buyer to ensure all KPI’s are achieved within the required timescales
- Manage & maintain all key data requirements for vendor and product listings
- Assist with the sourcing of raw materials & finished goods through new & existing suppliers
- Undertake research on and evaluate existing and new suppliers
- Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues
- Track commodity pricing, market trends & competitor strategies
- Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities
- Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships
- Monitor forecasts to identify changes and to determine their effect on supply chain activities
- Liaising with all internal stakeholders, building and maintaining key relationships
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications.

**Beneficial Requirements**:

- Experience in procurement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Contract management and supplier experience
- Knowledge of the heating and renewable energy markets an advantage
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skill
