Town Ranger

Then we have the perfect opportunity for you The Worthing Town Centre Business Improvement District is seeking a Town Ranger who loves customer service and is approachable to join our team. As a Town Ranger, you'll assist visitors in making the town safer, cleaner, and more welcoming. You'll be the eyes and ears of the BID, dealing with a variety of challenges each day.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop relationships with businesses to ensure they understand the BID's work and benefits, and engage them in all appropriate programs, projects, and services.
- Welcome visitors and shoppers to Worthing and offer descriptive information about the town centre.
- Monitor and intercept anti-social behaviour, reporting it to the relevant authorities to ensure visitors, shop staff and shoppers feel safe and secure while in the area.
- Document all incidents and issues arising.
- Ensure all Health & Safety and GDPR requirements are met to the company standard.
- Assist in the delivery of events held within the BID area.
- Carry out any other duties identified by the Town centre BID Manager and Events Manager.

- Motivated with good communication skills.
- Tact and diplomacy with a can-do attitude.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse set of partners.
- Experience of working in partnerships, with police and with local authorities desirable
- SIA license or willing to get one
- Ability to work on weekends and occasional evenings and in all weather conditions as the job will be primarily outside.
- Excellent personal presentation is imperative as this is a customer-facing role.

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 25 per week
