Dental Hygienist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide preventive care, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.

**Duties**:

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Conduct oral examinations to assess the overall oral health of patients
- Take and develop dental x-rays and other medical imaging as needed
- Remove plaque and calculus from teeth surfaces using dental instruments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as necessary
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment

**Requirements**:

- Valid Dental Hygienist license in [state]
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
- Proficiency in using computer-assisted design (CAD) software for creating dental restorations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and explain procedures to patients effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records
- Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
