We are seeking a skilled Slinger/ Banksman to join our team. The Slinger/banksman will be responsible for assisting the telehandler operator to safely move and position heavy loads.

**Duties**:

- Communicate effectively with telehandler operators and ground workers to ensure safe and efficient load movement.
- Build and dismantle lifting equipment as needed.
- Operate slinging equipment to secure loads properly.
- Inspect and maintain slings, chains, and other rigging equipment.
- Assist in directing the telehandler operator during lifting operations.
- Managing traffic to avoid excessive queuing on the highway
- Understanding risk, blind spots etc and how to manage these effectively.
- Directing the movement of vehicles on site safely.

**Requirements**:

- Proficient in English to understand and follow safety procedures and instructions.
- Ability to drive or operate machinery to transport materials on-site.
- In-depth knowledge of telehandling operations, lifting regulations, and safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.
- Self-employed CIS status and CPCS Card required

Pay: From £15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability (occasional)

Work Location: In person
