**About us**

The Commissioning Procurement & Brokerage Team support all the purchasing of goods and services across the Council.

Our Corporate Procurement Team support the wider Council with over 500 different contracts for goods and services.

In our Childrens and Adults Social Care Teams, our Commissioners look at what is needed by the people who live in our borough to help them live the lives they want to lead as independently as possible, if there needs to be a contract in place to deliver support to do this, then the Procurement team put that in place. The Brokerage teams then work with the provider of the services to match those services to people needing them.

**The Role**

We are looking for an Apprentice who is enthusiastic, willing to learn new tasks and want to be part of a real fabulous supportive team. You will work across our whole team during your time with us starting with the Brokerage team.

If you're aged 16 plus and interested in starting a career with the Council, perhaps looking for your first job after leaving school / college or looking to return to work after a gap this may be the role for you.

You will combine work with studying, working towards achieving nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in Business Administration while gaining valuable skills and practical experience.

Apprenticeships are available to anyone over the age of 16, not in full-time education and living in England.

If you hold a degree you will be eligible for an apprenticeship at any level, however the apprenticeship **must **provide you with substantive new skills, you must be able to evidence that the content of the training is materially different from any prior qualification or apprenticeship

The apprenticeship content will be tailored to suit the tasks you will be doing in your day to day work and you will receive support and guidance in building a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your competence in the workplace.
