**About the role**

As Utility Recharging Team Lead, this role is responsible for delivering our Tenant Recharging services for our clients across all sectors.

As one of three sub-teams in Bureau & Recharging (within the Manages Services Division) the Utility Recharging team performs key outsourced functions for our clients, focused on delivering utility apportionments and lower service charges for our Managing Agent clients.

Reporting to the Head of Bureau, you have responsibility for a team of Energy and Carbon Analysts overseeing the end to end process from recharge mobilisation to invoice validation, batches, query resolution, service charge budget development, and client reporting. Your are also responsible for talent development, processes and workflows as well as leading large engagements to deliver a professional, efficient and quality experience to our clients.

**What youll actually do**
- Oversee the delivery of all client engagements assigned to the Utility Recharging team
- Monitor client deliverables on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all timelines are achieved
- Serve as client facing main point of contact where senior delivery expertise is required, presenting to internal and external stakeholders as required
- Implement and continuously improve processes for standardising service delivery from mobilisation through the full client journey with Optimised
- Ensure that engagement margins, team utilisation and recovered rates are monitored effectively and optimised where possible
- Ensure that tickets are responded to efficiently and within our client service SLAs
- Oversee controls around scope creep and risk management (including particularly timeliness of recharges, batch issuing, management of debt/disconnection threats, general data health)
- Oversight of quality assurance standards, robust processes and systems within your team
- Provide technical guidance to the team and clients in relation to industry knowledge, spanning recharging best practise (RICS Service Charge guidance) and regulation (Measurement Industry Directive, Heat Network Regulations)
- Take the lead on recharge mobilisations, working closely with Metering, including development of recharging methodologies from scratch using building schematics and meter schedules to develop client facing documents and internal recharging templates.
- Oversee key recharging process including tariff development, central plant apportionment, meter read verification, service charge reporting, and relevant bureau processes that feed in
- Oversee the Utility Recharging budgeting and reporting suite, being the first port of call for internal and external queries.
- Analyse resource needs based on client engagement requirements and develop resource plans
- Manage and support recruitment, on-boarding, career planning, training and developing your team, including mentoring new and less experienced members
- Lead, develop and manage the people within your team, including probation reviews, 1:1s, appraisals and underperformance in line with company expectations and through early intervention, ensuring you seek and give feedback on what works and what does not and realignment

**What youll need**
- At least 5 years of professional experience either performing Bureau or Recharging activities within the Industrial & Commercial utilities market
- In-depth Knowledge of UK utilities industry including the regulatory environment, utility providers and billing methodologies
- Experience managing small teams to deliver excellent client service, through mentorship and development
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisation skills with ability to prioritise and manage high workloads
- Eligibility to work in the UK
