We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced and entrepreneurial editor to join Transworld’s literary fiction imprint, Doubleday, as a **Commissioning Editor, **on a permanent basis.

**What you'll bring**

More generally, to be successful in this role, you’ll be commercially and strategically-minded, a keen reader and have strong editorial skills. Self-motivated, highly creative and dynamic, you will have the vision to generate innovative ideas. You’ll build and develop both new and established industry contacts. You’ll be able to transmit your enthusiasm and galvanise a whole publishing team, actively championing your books in-house, as well as editing manuscripts, managing the publication schedule for your titles, briefing covers and writing copy, keeping track of how your books appear online and updating metadata. You will work with Sales, Rights, Marketing and Publicity teams to coordinate successful book publications and represent titles at internal, interdepartmental and external meetings.

The ability to work effectively under pressure while keeping to schedule is essential, as are good interpersonal skills and attention to detail. You will be highly efficient, a good communicator, and enjoy working as part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team.

**Salary**: £33,650 - £35,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus benefits.
