Interior Surface Planner

As a member of the Bespoke team, you will work alongside designers, project managers, technicians and craftspeople to plan new innovations and bespoke features from conception to delivery. Throughout this process you will be working to ensure that the relevantcost, volume, quality and legal requirements are met. Using your creativity, you will have the opportunity to influence decisions regarding the development of the features.

Evaluate new innovative materials and processes for Bespoke features

Work with engineering and design departments to assess feasibility to manufacture

Ensure that the proposed process is inclusive of quality, cost and legal requirements

Create and maintain the project timing plan. Detail how the part will be manufactured, define equipment, and any tooling and skill requirements

Create and maintain all necessary process documentation

Attend bespoke project meetings to represent and steer the features alongside other technologies

Create a Design Verification Plan to produce parts for testing

Raise purchase orders. Assist in managing the supply of product, machinery and equipment required for the Bespoke Workshop to enable the features

Carry out relevant capability studies, defining key characteristics for fit, form and function. Interpret results and incorporate improvements/changes into process as required

Ensure process times are incorporated into headcount planning

Evaluate efficiency savings to continuously improve costs and achieve targets

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Excellent organisational, presentation and problem-solving skills
- A high level of communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Must work effectively with internal production, development and planning functions as well as external suppliers
- Good IT skills
- Fluent English is essential
- Knowledge and/or experience using SAP
- CAD knowledge advantageous
