I am working with a fantastic school located in the historic town of Taunton. In 2019, the school were the winners of the Positive Behaviour Support Award at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards.

Students at the school will have speech and language delay, impairments or disorder, along with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and/ or moderate and severe learning. Your role of Teacher Assistant will be a support to both students and tutors, ensuring their learning needs are met with a positive attitude. You must show confidence and be an excellent role model to pupils, in addition to being flexible to follow instructions from peers.

Working with students to enable them to discover their potential is a key part to working at this school, outdoor learning, drama and music are some of the many lessons plans used here.

The hours of work will be 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, during term times. You will be working with pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, which is entry level for GCSE.
