Dyehouse Operative

Our client is a successful manufacturer based in the Wakefield area. They are looking for a Dyehouse Operative / Production Machine Operative to ensure the efficient running of machines to produce quality dyed yarn/fibre. This job will become permanent after successful 3 months probation.

**Full training will be given. No previous experience necessary.**

**Salary**: £9.62 per hour (raising to £9.94 per hour after probation).

Shift: Monday to Friday, 6.00am - 2.00pm / 2.00pm - 10.00pm (rotates weekly)

**Responsibilities**:

- Unloading of bales from transport or the warehouse.
- Loading of the dyeing machines to ensure level dyeing.
- Scouring of yarn and loose stock fibre.
- Weighing, mixing, loading, and unloading chemicals and products.
- Run various machines as part of the manufacturing process.
- Move, stack and transport finished products.
- Despatching products and checking documentation.
- To operate a FLT / Forklift truck.
- Associated duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Recent experience in a similar role is desirable (e.g. Textiles Operative / Production Operative / Manufacturing Operator / Process Operator / Machine Operative / Fabricator / Fabrication Operative)
- Previous experience of operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck is desirable (training will be given if not)
- Attention to detail
- Good communicator
